In my opinion, your mobile phone ‘could’ give you (and others) Covid-19 aka Coronavirus and could even be one of the major spreaders.
Just to be absolutely clear, I’m not for one minute suggesting that you can actually contract Covid-19 over the airwaves, that would be stupid!
How dirty is your mobile phone?
Answer: Very dirty indeed! Think about it, you constantly handle your mobile phone with your hands/face, some people pick their phone up every few seconds and even pass their mobile phone to others. This fact leads me to believe that due to the number of times that your mobile phone is handled, coupled with the surfaces that you leave your phone on, opens the opportunity for your phone to have the Coronavirus on it and perhaps allow others to contract it (if they handle your phone).
Transfering germs
In addition, when you give your phone to someone else such as a friend or even your children, the virus will pass onto them too.
Yes, it’s obvious but don’t disregard it, think about it, when was the last time that you cleaned your mobile phone/case?
You touch everything that you come across and then touch your phone, in fact, your phone inadvertently contacts almost every/any surface that you and everyone touches.
Wash your hands regularly… Yes and I say clean your mobile phone regularly too, there’s no point having clean hands when your phone is riddled with who knows what? (Covid-19?)
Tips for cleaning your phone
- Remove your case
- Use a normal antibacterial cleaner, e.g. wipe, spray etc
- Clean the from, back, sides and buttons as well as you’re case on all sides, particularly the areas that contact surfaces.
Do not;
- Use water
- Use too much product
- Clean around the speakers too vigorously
- Use any sharp objects
Personally, while this issue is upon us, I clean my phone after each time that I go out in public areas. By the way, while you’re there, why not clean your laptops and tablets too.
